Imogene Williams is a Brooklyn-based choreographer, dancer, and mother whose work explores movement as a language of liberation. A graduate of Smith College in dance and psychology, she also studied Afro-Brazilian dance in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. Her work has been presented at Movement Research at Judson Church and supported by the Brooklyn Arts Council and MAP Fund. A 2024 Beyond the Bars Fellow at Columbia University and 2025 GALLIM Parent Moving Artist in Residence, Williams creates dances that illuminate stories of resilience, justice, and motherhood while honoring the body as a conduit for ancestral power.
