Christine King

Ms. King spent 20+ years in NY as a member of the Core Performing company of Urban Bush Women, [ as a performer, she held the positions of: Associate Artistic Director, Rehearsal Director, Company Manager, Wardrobe Supervisor, Vocalist]. Since 2012 Ms. King has been in a performing, development [receiving and giving] artistic relationship with (UBW alum/a Visioning Artist)-Paloma Mac Gregor / Angela’s Pulse, --‘Building A Better FishTrap’- a Dance performance project. Ms. King has been part of several community performing projects: with DC/Maryland based dance company DanceExchange, Virginia based company MKarts- (‘Hoptown’ 2023 premier). These along with other community guided projects have brought forth the connective tissue that has aligned me to be in an offering and receiving relationships. A with most recent community based project with Matthew Cumbie at Colby College (Waterville ME). I am Humbled, Blessed, to be in the ‘fold’ of amazing artist approaching the arts from many prospectives/voices.
